The Simplicity of Luxury
Born in Rome, cosmopolitan by choice, Cristina Moneti has art in her blood.
Partly due to family heritage, partly due to passion, Cristina approached creativity at a very young age, attending the Orsoline Art High School and then continuing her education at IED in Rome where she studied Illustration and Visual Arts. Her creativity, which initially found expression in collaborations with advertising agencies and companies, gradually converged into pictorial projects and personal exhibitions in collaboration with important art galleries.
Only later did Cristina Moneti discover her true vocation, which would be expressed thanks to her encounter with her husband, co-owner with his family of Cacciari Salvati jewelry stores, a primary reality in the field of high-end vintage jewelry. This is where her passion for jewelry was born, which she initially wore and which stimulated her creativity and innate taste, experimenting with a new world.

But it is above all a reflection, which becomes increasingly clear and sharp, that pushes Cristina Moneti to embrace this new path, giving it a form and a name: the triangle is the shape that inspires her, leitmotif and distinctive sign, Cristalllo the name of the brand. The reflection at the basis of everything stems from a natural necessity, that of offering a line of jewelry that are precious objects but with an essential design. Beautiful objects, capable of dressing women at any time of day and for different social occasions, made with precious materials and simple shapes, original but never excessive, an expression of a luxury that is not shouted but discreet, yet recognizable. Because true luxury does not need to be flaunted, but only suggested.

Woman is at the center of everything, a daily source of inspiration on which the designer builds her collections and her brand. Her creativity indeed looks at the first ‘working class women’ who, in the 1920s, due to the war, found themselves replacing men in work roles that had until then been exclusively male. In that period, the transition from a social life to a professional one led women to choose, in addition to clothing more suitable for a dynamic life, accessories suited to their new status as workers. The lines of jewelry gradually became lighter and less demanding, suitable to be worn from morning to evening. Thus, as fashion became functional and not just decorative, jewelry had to be elegant but also practical. This concept has strengthened over the years, and it is this strong, independent, hard-working woman who loves beauty that Cristalllo is inspired by.

The 1920s are an important era for Cristina Moneti, not only for the social changes but for the birth of Art Deco which constitutes the DNA of the brand. So important that the year in which Cristalllo comes to life, 2019, was chosen ad hoc to celebrate the first centenary of the birth of Art Deco. An artistic current that by definition embraces an eclectic nature composed of stylistic elements that are sometimes ethnic, sometimes floral, sometimes geometric, the same ones we find, for example, in the colorful Folk Rings, in the precious triangles of the Prisma Collection, and again in the serial repetitions of small squares, rectangles and triangles of the bracelets in the Fairy Collection.

The collections that make up the world of Cristalllo embrace different families of materials and price ranges: rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets are offered in 40 models in multiple variants. From the more accessible lines in gold-plated silver and enamel to the more precious ones in white and pink gold illuminated by diamonds of different colors.
